From the intersection between Western and Persian Islamic cultures, my research and practice examine the materiality of digital video and its potentialities in relation to real-life events and socio-political issues. I am interested in crossovers between classical Persian-Islamic art and philosophy and Western process philosophies; the relationship between minimal parts in digital media (e.g. pixels) and social units (e.g. individuals); experiences of time and motion inside and outside of the digital video frame.
