PhD candidate at the School of the Arts - Portuguese Catholic University (Oporto, Portugal) having Professor Paulo Ferreira-Lopes as supervisor, and Doctoral Researcher of CITAR (Research Center for Science and Technology in Art) granted with a PhD Scholarship from FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology). Nowadays I am an Artist in Residence at ZKM (Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe). In 2013, I was a Research Trainee in IDMIL (Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory) at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, under the supervision of Professor Marcelo Wanderley.
My work focuses on the design of Digital Musical Instruments (DMIs), new models of musical composition, multimodal composition strategies, the study of sensors and actuators for musical gesture and performance.
