Tony Allard works from a trans-media perspective, which encompasses the hybridization of traditional and new mediums incorporated into static and time-based art works. Allard has presented his work internationally and it addresses such issues as the replacement of human vision with machine vision and most recently an artistic exploration of the life sciences and biotech industry’s directed evolution of the human species through genetic engineering. Allard has developed and presented his hybrid media works at such institutions as Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, New York, at the Banff New Media Institute (BNMI) in Banff, Canada, and Grand Arts in Kansas City, Missouri.
